It is very important to understand what a triangle strip is and why it is used in M3G. As the name implies, a triangle strip is a strip of triangles. In TriangleCanvas, this strip contains just one single triangle. M3G allows for a strip with an arbitrary number of triangles. Recall from basic geometry that any polygon can be decomposed into a number of triangles. This means that a triangle strip can be used to create any arbitrary polygon.
